For the second time in three years since the franchise restarted, the Vancouver Volcanoes are headed to the postseason.

Vancouver finished the regular season 16-4 to earn the top seed in The Basketball League’s Pacific Northwest Division. The Volcanoes now play a best-of-three series against the Seattle Super Hawks, with the winner advancing to the TBL quarterfinals against the winner of the Pacific Southwest Division.

Vancouver will seek its first TBL postseason win Thursday when the series opens at Seattle Pacific University.

The series then shifts to Vancouver for Game 2 at 7 p.m. Saturday and, if necessary, Game 3 at 3 p.m. Both games are at Evergreen High School with tickets available for $10 adults, $5 for seniors and youth.

Vancouver took three of four games against Seattle this season, most recently a 120-115 win on Saturday. The Volcanoes finished the regular season on a five-game win streak.

Markus Golder’s 23.2 points per game leads a balanced Volcanoes offense, that has six players averaging in double figures. Tyshon Pickett averages 18.9 points, Thomas Miles 18.1 points and Vincent Baumann 17.6 points.
