I am a scout from a local Scouts BSA troop. Now that the nice weather is out and more people are heading out for the trail, I think people need to be prepared for all aspects of these trips. People should make sure to check the weather and trail conditions beforehand, and know their own personal condition as well. They should always make sure to stay on marked trails, and always carry the 10 essentials no matter the weather or length of the trail. They can’t prevent all scenarios, but you can at least be prepared for the worst. It’s always hard to hear about people getting injured or losing their lives in the outdoors.
