Letter: Trump represents decay

By Don Howard, Camas

I was totally nauseated by Roy Schimelpfenig’s recent letter (“Signs of America’s moral decay,” Our Readers’ Views, May 4). This man is deeply troubled by his perception of decay that is Joe Biden.

If Biden is moral decay then I seriously wonder how Roy would define his chosen guy Donald Trump, who cheated on his wife with a porn star and playmate, joked about grabbing women’s private parts, encouraged Putin to attack more countries, and promised cuts to health care, Social Security and Medicare. Trump recently offered Treasury funds to oil executives in huge tax cuts and environmental rollbacks for campaign dollars.

I think you’ve lost it, Roy.
