Letter: Kent tells it like it is

By Joe Blatner, Vancouver
Published: May 21, 2024, 6:00am

I just got a brochure on Joe Kent’s run for Congress. I’ll have to admit, he has hit the nail on the head, and will get my wife’s and my vote. He seems the only one that tells it like it is, while the others beat around the bush and say nothing.

Light rail will ruin downtown Vancouver, bring crime and trouble, but our so-called city officials seem to have a blind eye in this regard. I realize they don’t care how much the bridge costs, but we the public have to eventually pay the price, and light rail is one of the biggest costs.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
