Friday track and field: Ensinger, Linerud and McGee lead Camas boys to bi-district title

Max Ensinger, Ethan Linerud and Chase McGee captured individual titles, leading the Camas boys team to a team title at the 4A/3A bi-district track and field meet Friday in Kent.

Ensinger won the 300 hurdles in 39.74 seconds, Linerud won the discus with a throw of 150 feet, 5 seconds and McGee won the pole vault, clearing 15-6.

The Camas boys easily outdistanced second-place Puyallup for the team title 103-65.

In the 3A boys meet, Cash Cook of Mountain View won the javelin at 184-3. Evergreen’s Ryder Keplar (high jump, 6-2) and Heritage’s Drayden Starke-Shaffer (triple jump, 43-3.25) both earned runner-up finishes.

Eliisa Marshall of Camas won the 800 meters in the 4A girls meet, winning in 2:13.17. Union’s Ella Koch was a runner-up in the 3,200 (10:51.63) as was Camas’ 1,600 relay (3:57.21).

Kelso’s Macy Swanson was a runner-up in the 3A girls pole vault (10-0).

Class 2B

Tony Peonio and Abel Koski won district titles at the 2B district meet in Chehalis.

Peonio cleared 14-0 to win the pole vault, and Koski won the triple jump at 40-3.5.
