RIDGEFIELD – The Ridgefield Art Association hosted a reception and award ceremony on May 3 for the first members-judged art show in 10 years. The show featured 53 pieces of original artwork from 31 local artists.
Ken Spurlock won Best of Show for his abstract art “Contemplation.” Rose Jubb won the People’s Choice award for “Waiting for the Fire.” Association President Maureen O’Reilly and board member Teri Corle also presented The Mayor’s Award, The Ridgefield Main Street Award, The Port of Ridgefield Award and The Ridgefield Community Library Awards.
The artwork will be on display in the Ridgefield Library, 210 N. Main Ave., through July.
