The Clark County Assessor’s Office will have tax exemption specialists available to answer questions and help property owners enroll in the county’s tax relief program on May 17.

The tax exemption program is available to qualified property owners to reduce property tax liability. Eligibility is based on age or disability, homeownership, residency and income. Participants are not required to repay the taxes, and their homes are not subject to property liens.

Exemption specialists will be in the resource classroom from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Firstenburg Community Center, 700 Northeast 136th Ave., Vancouver.

To schedule an appointment, call 564-397-2391 or email taxreduction@clark.wa.gov. Walk-ins also are welcome. Homeowners interested in attending should bring photo ID, federal tax return, W-2 and/or 1099, and any deduction documentation.

Learn more about the program and apply online at https://assessor-property-tax-exemption-program-clarkcountywa.hub.arcgis.com.
