Letter: Trump poses a threat

By Susan Offerman, Battle Ground

Bob Mattila’s outrageous comparison of the Biden administration to the Hitler regime is contemptuous, small-minded and pales in comparison to the truth of who is the real threat to this nation (“Evil should not be tolerated,” Our Readers’ Views, April 29). Donald Trump has vowed, repeatedly and openly, to weaponize state power against his political enemies if elected for a second term. He considers all those who don’t kiss his ring to be “vermin.”

How can any sane person support a man who sells Bibles to pay for his dirty laundry cover-ups and compares his plight to that of Jesus Christ? Trump has done more to damage this country and it citizens than any other president in our history.

Mr. Mattila’s ugly rhetoric is just one small example of the kind of behavior Trump encourages from his minions. Here’s a quote right back at ya, Bob. “Be careful what you wish for lest it come true.”
