Letter: Planners are not thinking ahead

By Bill E. Campbell, Vancouver
Published: March 30, 2024, 6:00am

I may not be the brightest bulb in the lamp, but I think that the city and state planners and managers have acted too aggressively and with one-sided input, not soliciting input from longtime residents.

Taking away golf courses, driving ranges, farmland, dog parks, open spaces and private land to build density housing. Houses and apartments built so close together that there is no room for outside activities nor privacy. And with all this building, adding people and vehicles to already congested roads, highways and freeways. Increasing road and freeway noises to unhealthy levels, 24/7. Try driving on 117th, Andresen, Interstate 5 or 205 at any time. White knuckling and tailgaters. Welcome to the Bronx!
