Letter: Apt description of Trump

By Marty McCann, Vancouver

Imagine my surprise to find myself agreeing with writer Bob Mattila (“Becoming ungodly causes problems,” Our Readers’ Views, March 14). His warning is a spot-on description of what’s wrong right with our nation right now: “… men who are lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemous …unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.”

Could there be a more perfect description of Donald Trump?

Oh hold on, Bob interprets this to mean people who support human rights and statements such as “All men are created equal”? Well, let’s keep talking, Bob, maybe we will find some common ground someday.
