Letter: Letter sparks disagreement

By Steve Engard, RIDGEFIELD

In rebuttal to Mr. Mattila’s letter (“Becoming ungodly causes problems,” Our Readers’ Views, March 14), I know that he means well, but nowadays there are quite a few people who disagree.

We have come to view all gods as creations of ancient myths and superstitions. For centuries now, there has been no evidence for his god or any other god. And my study of all current gods has found that they are all barbaric in behavior or sociopathic, therefore there is no rational reason to allow the beliefs in any god to guide any civilized nation.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
