Jacob Bellamy and Rowyn Brady combined on a two-hitter as Washougal baseball opened 2A Greater St. Helens League play with a 4-2 win over Mark Morris on Monday.
Bellamy overcame five walks by allowing just one hit and striking out 10 over five innings.
Brady worked two innings for the save, fielding a game-ending groundout after Mark Morris loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh.
Trailing 2-0, Washougal scored three runs in the fifth on a bases-loaded walk, a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly.
Samuel McKee went 3 for 3 with a double for Washougal.
Coiteux earns 200th win
Mountain View baseball coach Aaron Coiteux reached the 200-win milestone as the Thunder beat Heritage 12-1.
Coiteux took the reigns at Mountain View in 2008. Since then, the Thunder have posted 10 winning seasons and reached the state playoffs four times.
Jett Hamilton went 2 for 3 with a triple, double and three RBI as Mountain View opened 3A Greater St. Helens League play with a home win.

- Hailey Ferguson, Battle Ground, homered twice in a 16-0 win over Hockinson. She went 3 for 6 with three RBI.
- Delyla Gruenberg, Battle Ground, had 10 strikeouts over seven innings, allowing two hits and one walk in a 16-0 win over Hockinson. She also went 3 for 5 with a home run, double and four RBI.
- Emily Hull, Columbia River, went 5 for 5 with a home run and five RBI in a 17-9 win over Woodland.
- Promise Bond, Hudson’s Bay, was 5 for 5 with a triple, two home runs, three RBI and four runs scored in a 20-9 win against Fort Vancouver.

- Elliott Maldonado, Heritage, scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Evergreen as the Timberwolves improved to 4-0 this season.
- Jackson Radi, Mountain View, tallied a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win over Battle Ground.
- Toren Baker, Skyview, had a goal and assist in the Storm’s 2-0 win over Prairie.
