Tahlinna Kerr’s second double of the game drove in the winning run with two outs in the seventh as Hockinson softball edged Centralia 8-7 on Wednesday.
Charlie Varney scored on the play after she singled the previous at bat.
Kerr also doubled in two runs in Hockinson’s four-run first inning. She went 2 for 4 with three RBI along with pitching seven innings.
Varney, Gracie Garden and Annabelle Morris also had two hits each as the host Hawks bounced back from a season-opening loss to Camas.

- McKinley Ermshar, Union softball, allowed three hits and struck out 12 over six innings in an 11-1 win over Prairie. She also went 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI.
- Mckenzie Bowling, Ridgefield softball, went 4 for 5 with a home run, two doubles and four RBI in a 13-9 win over Evergreen.
- Kadence Burleson, Evergreen softball, homered twice and drove in four runs in a 13-9 loss to Ridgefield.
