The following administrative changes will take place in Battle Ground Public Schools for the 2024-25 school year. Once approved by the school board, all assignments will take effect July 1.

Battle Ground High School Principal Charb Gourde will transfer to Prairie High School, where he will serve as an assistant principal. He will be replaced by Heather Ichimura, who is currently the principal at Tukes Valley Middle School. Assistant principal and athletic director Kirsten Talbott will move to Tukes Valley Middle School to become the assistant principal. Her position will be filled by Trevor Person, who is currently an associate principal and athletic director at Pacific Middle School in Evergreen Public Schools.

Prairie High School Assistant principal Erin Thompson will move to Pleasant Valley Middle School where she will be the school’s assistant principal.

Current Tukes Valley Middle School assistant principal Ben Ziegler has been named principal at Tukes Valley Middle School.

Mari Schauer, a multi-tiered systems of support coach, will be Pleasant Valley Primary’s new assistant principal. She takes over for Craig Morgan, the school’s interim assistant principal, who is retiring.

Co-director of curriculum, instruction and assessment Dave Cresap is retiring at the end of the school year. His position will not be filled.
