Ridgefield Raptors Road Report: Ridgefield 11, Port Angeles 7

Thursday’s Game: Ridgefield Raptors 11, Port Angeles Lefties 7 (click here for boxscore)

Stars of the Game: Raptors first baseman Richard Tejeda III (USC) was 3 for 5 with a grand slam in the fifth inning and a double in the seventh as Ridgefield completed a three-game road sweep of the Lefties at Civic Field.

Raptors bats: Second baseman Taylor Takata (Hawai’i) was 3 for 4 with three runs scored and two stolen bases for the Raptors, which pounded out 12 hits. … Luke Iverson (Utah Valley) was 2 for 3 with an RBI-double in the third inning. … Jack Salmon (Golden West College) was 2 for 4 with a solo home run leading off second inning for the first run of the game. … Dasan Harris (Oklahoma) hit a run-scoring single in the sixth inning and also stole two bases.

Raptors arms: Logan Anderson (Portland) picked up his first win of the season. He started and went five innings, allowing three runs on four hits with a strikeout and three walks. … Drew Townson (CS Bakersfield) pitched three shutout innings with two hits. … Zach Todd (Dallas Baptist) had an adventurous ninth inning in his Raptors debut. He struck out the side but in between gave up four runs on a single and three-run homer, walked one batter and hit one.

Up next: The Raptors (6-8) continue their road trip by heading south to Bend, Ore., to take on the Elks in a three-game weekend set at Vince Genna Stadium. The first two games are Friday and Saturday at 6:35 p.m. and the Sunday game is at 5:05 p.m.
