Letter: Buy local strawberries

By Rob Baur, RIDGEFIELD

Real strawberries are not hollow or white in the center. Real strawberries do not crunch when you bite them. Real strawberries are not the size of a small potato. Buy local fresh strawberries from produce stands, local farmer stands, U-pick and farmer’s markets while they are available during the short local berry season for the great taste and to support local farmers.
