Letter: Fix Lewisville Park pay booth

When is Clark County going to alleviate the abhorrent situation at the entrance to Lewisville Regional Park? On most weekend days through the summer, traffic is backed up to beyond the entrance from Highway 503, causing extremely unsafe traffic conditions as well as not allowing those with annual passes to safely and efficiently enter. I will never know why the county needs to keep the manned entrance booth as a pay station, causing this dangerous backup.

Most parks with entrance fees have multiple self-serve kiosks distributed at convenient locations within a park to allow for folks who buy single-day parking passes to purchase them and attach them to their vehicle. Use the employee who normally mans the booth to monitor the various parking areas to ensure that vehicles are displaying current daily or yearly parking passes.

Now wouldn’t that be a good idea?
