Clark County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 22-year-old Castle Rock man Friday in connection with an armed carjacking in Minnehaha.

Edin M. Fallon was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.

Deputies responded at 8:45 a.m. to a reported carjacking in the 4500 block of Northeast 54th Avenue. The caller said an unknown man pointed a handgun at the occupants of a 1970s Ford F1 pickup, demanded they get out of the truck and stole it. The carjacker then drove south on 54th Avenue, according to an agency news release.

Vancouver police located the stolen pickup disabled on the southbound side of Interstate 5 near the Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard offramp, the news release states.

Additional officers from the sheriff’s office, Vancouver Police Department and Washington State Patrol conducted a high-risk vehicle stop and found a firearm in the truck, according to the news release.

Fallon was detained without incident. The pickup’s owners identified Fallon as the carjacker, the news release states.
