Vancouver law enforcement training center eases waitlists for corrections officers; first class graduates in July

Clark County Jail will get four new corrections officers from first class

A new class of recruits will graduate from the Southwest Washington Regional Training Center in July, but this time, they’ll be corrections officers.

Thirty-six corrections recruits began their training May 7 at the center in east Vancouver. The 10-week course is held on the same campus as the basic law enforcement training academy, which opened in January at the former Image Elementary School on Northeast 122nd Avenue.
