Update: Police said they found Charles Fields Wednesday afternoon safe.

Vancouver police are seeking the public’s help finding a missing 83-year-old man who they say may have trouble finding his way home.

Charles Fields was last seen at about 11:15 a.m. Wednesday near the 12400 block of Southeast McGillivray Boulevard walking west. He lives in a memory care facility. Police said he can likely identify himself, but he may struggle to get home.

Fields is a Black man who is between 5 feet, 8 inches and 6 feet tall. He weighs between 175 and 200 pounds and has brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a black golf hat, a black jacket that said “Old Spaghetti Factory” on it, a white long-sleeved shirt and jeans, police said.

Anyone who sees Fields is asked to call 911.
