A new 85-lot subdivision of single-family residences is being planned along the Lewis River in Woodland.

The site, 1920 Lewis River Road, was previously approved for apartment housing, but developer Timberland Inc. changed the proposal to subdivide and build single-family homes east of Insel Road.

Woodland will hold a public hearing on the proposed project Aug. 2 at the Woodland City Council Chambers, as well as on Zoom.

The homes will be two stories with patios and 18-to-24-foot driveways. Forty-five of the homes will be within the shoreline jurisdiction.

The proposal includes two retaining walls, an outfall with an infiltration pond, and a gravel path down to the river within the shoreline buffer.
