Update: Crystal was found safe in Vancouver with the help of an alert resident, according to Vancouver police.

Vancouver police are seeking the public’s help in finding a 16-year-old who they say went missing today from the Vancouver Mall under suspicious circumstances.

The teen goes by the first name Crystal and uses she/they pronouns. Crystal was last seen at the mall earlier today. Crystal’s phone was found about 1 p.m. discarded outside the mall, according to a police news release.

Crystal was last seen wearing glasses; a light pink, hooded sweatshirt with the words “My pronouns are she/they” on it; cotton blue and white jogger-style pants; and black and blue sandals.

She has reddish-brown hair that reaches her shoulders. Crystal is also likely wearing diamond stud earrings, the news release said.

Crystal is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds. Police said Crystal is shy and might not be comfortable talking to strangers.

The agency said investigators are treating Crystal’s disappearance as extremely suspicious and are using all available resources to investigate her whereabouts.

Anyone with information about Crystal’s disappearance should contact Vancouver police or call 911 immediately.
