Backwoods Brewing keeps hospitality at heart of its business as it opens pubs, vacation cabins

Columbia River Gorge brewer has locations in Carson, Oregon; expansion to Clark County on hold

With three brewpubs, a beer distribution business and growing tourism amenities in the Columbia River Gorge, Carson-based Backwoods Brewing Company is cementing itself as one of Southwest Washington’s largest brewery operations.

The Waters family opened Backwoods more than a decade ago next to its grocery store in the heart of the Gorge.
