Letter: Thanks to PeaceHealth

By Susan LaLone, VANCOUVER
Published: June 6, 2024, 6:00am

I was just released from the cardiac treatment areas of PeaceHealth after a 2½-week stay. Most of the time I was very sick and required a large amount of care. Everyone, from the doctors down, gave me not only incredible care but showed an amazing amount of empathy. Particularly impressive were the nurses, nursing assistants, physical therapists, lab techs (most times never felt the needle), and everyone else involved. The ICU nurses were advocating for my care, not just providing what was necessary. A few of these folks have been providing care there for over 30 years.

I can never begin to adequately thank these good folks, but perhaps by standing with them when they need support is a good place to start. My never-ending gratitude to one and all.
