Vancouver Master Chorale hosts auditions
Vancouver Master Chorale is accepting auditions from outstanding singers, especially tenors and basses. Reading music is required. Next season’s major works include the Verdi “Requiem,” “Magnificat” by Taylor Davis and the Lord Nelson Mass, all with orchestra. Art4Art fundraiser seeks submission
Friends of the Vancouver Community Library seek submissions for the Art4Art fundraiser in which 8-by-8-inch wood panels are given to anyone of any age who’d like to participate by decorating the panels. Individuals will then donate the decorated panels to the Friends of the Vanacouver Library to be sold for $30 a piece at the Art4Art event 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 4 in the Columbia Room of the Vancouver Community Library.
The event includes live jazz, refreshments and a community art project. Pick up panels June 15 at the Vancouver Community Library. Completed panels must be returned to the Vancouver Community Library by closing time on Sept. 15. Artists should sign only the backs of the panels. Proceeds from the sale fund art projects and programming at the Vancouver Community Library.
