Lions Clubs assist at Washington State School for the Blind track meet

CENTRAL PARK – Lions Clubs from around Clark County assisted with the annual Washington State School for the Blind track meet, held May 16 at the school in Vancouver. Some 400 participants from around the region participated.

Events included the shot put, modified shot put, turbo javelin; 50-, 100-, 200- and 400-meter runs; and standing and running long jumps. Some featured attendees were the Washington State Patrol with a canine unit, miniature horses, bunnies and pygmy goats, blind and low-vision users groups and individuals, and therapy dogs.
