Letter: Democrats undermine democracy

By Vicki Coles , VANCOUVER
Published: July 31, 2024, 6:00am

If I were a Democratic politician who had considered running for president this year (before Joe Biden said he was going to run), I’d be mighty ticked right now. Actually, anyone who calls themself a Democrat should be ticked. The puppet masters urged Joe to stay in the race then pulled the rug out from under him, essentially naming the next presidential candidate without the democratic process of primaries. And they claim democracy is under attack by Republicans? Really?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
