Are noncitizens using Washington driver’s licenses to illegally register to vote in Clark County?

There are very few instances of people voting illegally nationwide or locally; legislation to change the state’s ‘motor voter act’ has failed

Washington is one of 19 states, along with the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, that allows some or all undocumented residents to obtain a driver’s license or state-issued identification. Some worry this practice lets noncitizens register and vote in federal, state or local elections.

“County auditors and others attempted, pretty aggressively, to get the Legislature to change that,” County Auditor Greg Kimsey said.
