The Ridgefield Raptors found the perfect fix to end their four-game losing streak — an 11-run inning.

The Raptors sent 17 batters to the plate in an 11-run sixth inning on their way to a 12-2 win over the Cowlitz Black Bears on Saturday in Longview.

With the win, the Raptors secured the Columbia Cup, the trophy that goes to the winner of the season series between these two I-5 rivals. Saturday’s win was Ridgefield fourth in six game games against Cowlitz this season.

Skyview High graduate Kyle Memarian (Gonzaga) drove in three runs in the sixth inning, the first with a sacrifice fly and later with a two-run single.

Nick Holm had two singles in the inning and Hunter Katschke added a two-run triple.

Justin Stransky went 3 for 4 with two walks as the Raptors got hits from eight different hitters and drew 12 walks as a team.

Jake Geiss was the beneficiary of that big inning that blew open what had been a 1-1 tie. Geiss allowed one run in three innings to earn the win.

Camas graduate Ryan McClaskey threw a pair of hitless innings to close out the game.

The victory also put the Raptors (14-4) a half-game ahead of Portland (14-5) in the West Coast League South Division second-half standings.

Ridgefield and Cowlitz close out the series with a game at 1:05 p.m. Sunday at David Story Field in Longview.
