Letter: Support emergency services

As the EMS medical director and as a resident of Clark County, I urge you to support critical fire and EMS measures on the ballot. Fire departments have seen a 25 percent call volume increase in five years; most calls are for EMS. Rising costs and a national paramedic shortage strain our services.

The levies restore funding to previous levels; they are vital for meeting demand. Bonds for Camas and Washougal will replace outdated fire stations. Supporting these measures ensures our responders are well-equipped and staffed to protect our community. Vote yes to preserve life-saving services.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
