Letter: Support Cortes for state Senate

By Michael Wood, Battle Ground
Published: July 27, 2024, 6:00am

As an unaffiliated voter, I try to study candidates and issues before I mark my ballot. In the 18th Legislative District Senate race, I am marking my ballot for Adrian Cortes. Mr. Cortes has been active in Battle Ground politics, serving on both the city council and as mayor. During his term the city government functioned efficiently while managing to lower utility taxes — a win for everyone here in Battle Ground.

Adrian Cortes is the right person for the state Senate position.
