Regarding the recent massive software failure caused by an upgrade from CrowdStrike, I think Congress should launch an investigation, led by a team of software engineers, to take a hard look at the internal software design, development, testing and in particular the release processes used at CrowdStrike.
Something has gone seriously wrong with this release because there was apparently no immediate rollback process to get back to a running system. If user data was damaged or the software processes do not meet industry standards, then CrowdStrike should be subject to a class-action lawsuit at a minimum.
