Love Street Playhouse, 126 Loves Ave., Woodland, is holding auditions for “Live in 3, 2, 1 …” showing Nov. 15 through Dec. 8. Auditions are 6 p.m. Aug. 15 and consist of cold readings from the script. No monologues or appointments are required. Auditioners should arrive a few minutes before 6 p.m. to fill out audition form. Attendees should bring headshots, theater resumes and calendars and plan on staying until 9:30 p.m. “Live in 3, 2, 1 …” is an original play by David Bareford debuting at Love Street Playhouse. In the fall of 1939, a television studio brings in a Hollywood team to stage a live version of a popular Western cinema serial, but when its director becomes ill just before air time, an assistant producer must pull together the performance with an hour’s notice. She must overcome temperamental actors, technical challenges, a nosy Variety reporter and a boyfriend intent on rekindling their romance. Each role is described and a portion of the script is posted at lovestreetplayhouse.com. For more details, email melinda@lovestreetplayhouse.com.
