Letter: EV owners pay their share

By Susan Silvera, VANCOUVER

I just had to renew my vehicle registration. One of the cars is a Chevy Volt. I only get about 30 miles on a charge, which is fine around town, but not so good on any sort of outing.

I paid $150 for “Electric Vehicle Renewal” and $75 for Transportation Electrification (whatever that is). I am tired of seeing letters from people complaining about electric vehicles not paying their fair share. I not only pay an extra $225, I have to buy gas.
