Letter: Election is about morality

By Peter Brown, VANCOUVER

You realize, of course, that by abandoning the presidency to the least acceptable candidate you are showing exactly why he is the most despicable candidate ever offered up for a presidential election in the history of our great nation. Furthermore, the suggestion is that we walk away from a man who has dedicated his whole life to his country, in the face of great personal tragedies, and the calming effect after an attempt to overthrow a legally binding election.

I submit that those actions reflect more on the quality of the voters than the candidate’s qualifications. Joe Biden is very aware of his unique position in this election, he knows, because he has been there, what his next four years will bring. He knows that he will probably not survive but will open the presidency to the first woman president in our history, just as he stood by the first Black president on his inauguration.

His opponent is less that convicted felon lurking once again in the sewers than the people Joe has served for so long with honor and compassion.

This election is not about the ravages of age, but your own moral code.
