Letter: A new idea for Democrats

By Gene Couture, VANCOUVER

A different idea for the Democrats: Have the ticket headed by Kamala Harris and the vice president slot taken by Joe Biden. That way we get his expertise and experience in government, which we sorely need, and we get a new generation of active leader to handle crises. President Biden has been a wonderful policymaker and leader, and now as vice president, he could be the best possible adviser to President Harris, who has the vigor to move forward in protecting our democracy. Actually, it’s a different idea for all of us!

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
