Letter: Support Bird for governor

By Delmer Eldred, Goldendale

This primary election is more than just about picking who will go to the general election, it is the beginning of new hope for a better future.

We have seen for years the erosion of our liberties and freedoms, the failing education system, record increases in crime, ever-increasing taxes and the overall breakdown of the fabric of society. This primary is all about moving someone forward who has the best solutions and takes action to put the citizens’ well-being first and foremost and is committed to using the power of the elected office to protect our constitutional rights.

If you take a hard look at the gubernatorial candidates, there is only one that has the determination and fortitude to do what he has promised, and that person is Semi Bird.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
