Letter: Letter ignores Trump faults

Robert Kerr think we are all too ignorant to understand Trump’s remarks, in this case the “dictator” one (“Trump critics misinformed,” Our Readers’ Views, July 12). Kerr says Trump said “dictator for a day.” We don’t have “dictators” in America, not for one day, not for one second. This highlights Kerr’s ignorance of American democracy, something Trump also suffers from.

While Kerr highlights Biden’s poor performance at the debate, he doesn’t mention Trump’s two hours of lies at the same debate.

Trump’s pathetic record as president as well as his debauched lifestyle are easily recorded not only on CNN or MSNBC, but everywhere. Ask Fox News, Kerr, what their Trump lies cost them, or Rudy Giuliani, or 1,100 traitors on Jan. 6.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
