Letter: Democrats should support Biden

If Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez thinks President Joe Biden is “no longer fit to hold office,” perhaps she needs to be a bit more introspective. I can figure out which constituents Perez is listening to — the same ones that are Republican. I have watched closely her voting history in Congress. She regularly sides with the Republicans over the Democrats and yet she was elected as a Democrat.

Perez claims that “most people I represent in Southwest Washington” believe this tripe. And that we deserve to feel President Biden is unfit for the job. Well, this Democrat believes that our president is more than fit to do this job.

Any registered Democrat, and especially those who have been elected, should stand with Biden when he says he is fit for the job. But I am now believing Perez isn’t. I’ve never voted for a Republican. And this year, I will not be voting for Perez. I will be encouraging others to do the same.
