Letter: Take control away from Biden

By Tom Ryan, VANCOUVER

A lot of us who have elderly parents have had the difficult “It’s time to take away the car keys” conversation with them. This is for the safety of the parent as well as society as a whole. Someone needs to have this conversation with President Joe Biden.

This is a president who has shown signs of cognitive decline for years. We need a full-time president who is capable of dealing with the serious problems facing our nation and the world.

The fact that the “keys” of the nation haven’t been taken away by his family, White House staff, Vice President Kamala Harris or the Democratic National Convention a long time ago shows a total disregard for the safety of our nation or any concern for the president. The White House, vice president, DNC and the media have been lying to us for a long time. They no longer could after the debate.

Allowing this to continue could almost be considered elder abuse. This cover-up of Biden’s cognitive decline and impairment may go down as one of the greatest political cover-ups of our time. Please, someone do the right thing and have the courage to take away the keys.
