Ridgefield Raptors non-league report: Ridgefield 6, Redmond Dudes 5

Tuesday’s Game: Ridgefield Raptors 6, Redmond Dudes 5 (click here for boxscore)

Recap: Taylor Takata (Hawai’i) singled home Dasan Harris (Oklahoma) with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to walk-off Redmond in the non-league game at the RORC. … Harris had walked and stole second base to set up the winning run. … Redmond (3-6) led 4-0 after the top of the second inning, but Ridgefield responded with a three-run bottom of the second on a sacrifice fly by Kyle Memarian (Gonzaga) and a two-run double by Andrew Grenert (Loyola Marymount). … Ridgefield then took a 5-4 lead in the sixth as Jack Salmon (Golden West College) reached base on a single and Richard Tejeda (Riverside College/USC) scored on an error during the play. Salmon then scored on a sacrifice fly by Ryder Cutlip (Gonzaga). … Redmond tied the game at 5-5 with a run in the seventh.

Raptors bats: Memarian was 3 for 3 with an RBI and a stolen base in his second game for the Raptors. … Salmon was 3 for 4 with two runs.

Raptors arms: Zach Todd (Dallas Baptist) picked up the win with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

Up next: The Raptors, winners of their last 10 games, play a make up of a June rainout against the Portland Pickles, 7:15 p.m. Thursday at Walker Stadium. The Raptors then return to the RORC to host the Victoria Harbourcats in a three-game series beginning Friday.
