LONGVIEW — The Cowlitz County Coroner’s Office is asking the public to help ID the remains of a woman found in the Columbia River just outside Woodland in 2022.

The remains were discovered March 30, 2022. The person’s age and race are still unknown, according to a department press release.

The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office has not been able to identify the woman so they had an artist recreate the tattoos.

The woman has multiple tattoos including a large “S” shield with two birds holding a banner with words written across it; a male lion with a flower; and five people holding hands with the initials J.C.B.

The woman also had two other tattoos: a rainbow-colored shape with a flame, a treble clef, and a music note with the word “When” above it, as well as a possible ornate-style cross on the back of the neck.

Those who know anyone who may have had these tattoos are asked to call the office at 360-577-3079.
