Feeling blue
The Hockinson Blueberry Festival is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hockinson Community Center, 15916 N.E. 182nd Ave., Brush Prairie. The festival features blueberry sales, blueberry-pie baking and eating contests and a vendor market. Visitors can buy blueberry-inspired food and beverages, including blueberry lemonade, coffee cake and milkshakes. Rainbows in the park
The Southwest Washington Pride Alliance presents Saturday in the Park Pride from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in Esther Short Park, southwest Sixth and Esther streets in downtown Vancouver. The event features live entertainment, dancing, food vendors and an extensive market showcasing artisan items. The Columbia River’s north shore is the place to be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays for the Vancouver Waterfront Concert Series, today through Aug. 15. Enjoy a mix of music from around the world at Vancouver Waterfront Park, 115 S.E. Columbia Way. Bring a picnic or grab a bite at a restaurant. Alcohol is not permitted in parks. The Parks Foundation of Clark County will host parking with a donation in the lot across from Vancouver City Hall on Sixth Street. Today’s featured artist is Curtis Salgado.
