LONGVIEW — A Vancouver woman accused of raping a child under the age of 5 is scheduled to appear in a Cowlitz County courtroom Thursday to determine if the case heads to trial.
According to court documents, Kimberly Michelle Mosser, 48, was arrested and charged in March with one count of child rape for allegedly sexually abusing a child in 2023 in Cowlitz County.
She is out on $15,000 bail and barred from contacting anyone under the age of 16.
The victim later revealed the abuse to their parents, according to the police report filed after the arrest.
After examining the child’s underpants in February, experts were able to find human saliva, with Mosser being the most likely contributor, the police report states.
