A man was killed Tuesday night when another man allegedly ran him over with a recreational vehicle following a fight in the parking lot of LeRoy Haagen Memorial Park.

Vancouver police responded about 9:20 p.m. to a physical disturbance between two men in the 13200 block of Northeast LeRoy Haagen Memorial Drive in east Vancouver.

One of the men, later identified by police as Andrew R. Roberts, hit and ran over the other man in an RV before fleeing the scene, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, later died at an area hospital.

A Clark County sheriff’s deputy and detectives from the Vancouver Police Crime Prevention Unit found the RV and Roberts near Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard and 162nd Avenue. The officers took Roberts into custody without incident, according to a police news release.

Roberts was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide and felony hit-and-run. Court records show he is scheduled to make a first appearance on the allegations this afternoon in Clark County Superior Court.

The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit and Traffic Unit are investigating.
