Letter: Support Brown for attorney general

By Phil Landesberg, Vancouver
Published: July 10, 2024, 6:00am

Abraham Lincoln essentially said, “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” Washington is beset with destructive forces. Crime, drugs, gun violence, and the presence of hate and anti-government groups concern the public.

Attorney general candidate Nick Brown has the experience necessary to keep Washingtonians safe. As general counsel for Gov. Jay Inslee, Nick coordinated the administration’s response to Trump’s Muslim ban. As U.S. Attorney for Western Washington, Nick prioritized addressing the fentanyl crisis, protecting consumers, and combating sex trafficking and violent crime.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
