Vancouver-based Kuni Foundation has awarded 20 grants to nonprofit groups across Southwest Washington and Oregon serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the foundation announced Monday.

Two Clark County nonprofits, PEACE NW and Vancouver Housing Authority, both received Imagination Grants for their programs supporting advocacy work and affordable housing. The Arc of Washington State also received a grant for advocacy work.

The $25,000 grant awarded to Vancouver Housing Authority will further support the development of an 80-unit affordable housing project in Battle Ground and ensure the 12 units for people with disabilities are accessible and welcoming.

The Kuni Foundation supports opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through improving policies, programs and systems.
