WOODLAND — Road work will trigger single- and double-lane closures on southbound Interstate 5 this month in Woodland as crews continue work on the North Fork Lewis River Bridge. Travelers in the area should expect significant delays.

Beginning Monday, travelers will see nighttime single- and double-lane closures as crews install signs.

On July 22, crews will reduce southbound I-5 from three lanes to two, and lanes and shoulders will be narrowed in the work zone. The speed limit on southbound I-5 will be reduced from 70 mph to 60 mph through the work zone and to 45 mph along the bridge. There could also be additional double-lane closures at night.

With the around-the-clock lane closure, travelers may see more than 70 minute delays approaching the North Fork Lewis River Bridge until mid-September, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
