Gluesenkamp Perez announces service academy appointees for Class of 2028

VANCOUVER – Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Skamania, announced seven of her nominees from across Washington’s 3 Congressional District have been appointed to attend a United States service academy.

“Our service academy appointees, as well as their families, made sacrifices to be the type of candidates we would be glad to have represent us in our armed forces. They should be proud of their accomplishments, as well as their honorable dedication to defending our freedoms,” Gluesenkamp Perez said in a new release.

Cordelia Ashley of Ridgefield High School will be attending the U.S. Naval Academy. Jacob Bell of Ridgefield High School will be attending the U.S. Military Academy. Joseph Blanshan of Seton Catholic College Preparatory High School will be attending the U.S. Air Force Academy. Roxanne Casey of Cedar Tree Classical Christian School will be attending the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. And Jacob Peay of Battle Ground High School will be attending the U.S. Air Force Academy.
