Stars and stripes

Ridgefield’s annual Fourth of July celebration is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. The patriotic parade begins at 11 a.m. The route heads west from Division Street and Fourth Avenue, turns south on Third Avenue and then turns east on Pioneer Street heading to Eighth Avenue. Park at Ridgefield High School, 2630 S. Hillhurst Road, and catch a free shuttle to downtown Ridgefield. Shuttles run every 20 minutes from 8 to 10:10 a.m. Return shuttles run 12:30 to 5 p.m. See the day’s full schedule of events at ridgefield4th.com.

Fun at the Fort

The Historic Trust and city of Vancouver will host Picnic in the Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Fort Vancouver Historic Site at the Parade Grounds along Officers Row. The free event features two stages with live music for adults and kids, games on the lawn including corn hole and croquet, magicians, face painting, a climbing wall, historical reenactments, walking tours and weaponry demonstrations. Buy food from vendors or visit the beer garden for those age 21 and older. Fort Vancouver, the Visitor Center and Pearson Air Museum will all be open until 4 p.m. Learn more at thehistorictrust.org.

Sounds of summer

The Sunday Sounds Concert Series will hit the amphitheater in East Vancouver’s Columbia Tech Center Park, 17701 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., from 6 to 8 p.m. Sundays through Aug. 18. Hear a lineup of genre-defying crowd favorites. Bring a picnic meal or buy food and refreshments from local vendors. Alcohol is not permitted in parks. Park off Southeast Cardinal Court, in the gravel lot south of the amphitheater. Sunday’s featured band is 5 Guys Named Moe.

Tractors and tunes

Pomeroy Farm, 20902 N.E. Lucia Falls Road, Yacolt, will host July Farm Days Jamboree from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy live music while strolling the farm grounds and browsing an artisans’ market. Children will enjoy an “I Spy” activity and meeting farm animals. Admission and parking are free, though donations to support the farm are welcome. Only service animals are admitted to the farm grounds. Sips and songs

Confluence Vineyard and Winery, 19111 N.W. 67th Ave., Ridgefield, will host “Red Wine and Blues” from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Bring a picnic, buy dinner from Sugar’s Barbecue, browse the artisan vendors and hear blues legend Norman “BoogieCat” Sylvester and Muddy Waters Award-winner Tevis Hodge. Admission is $10.
